1. Speech

A. AEC(Acoustic Echo Cancellation) and Noise Canceller

(1) nFore's AEC solution is adaptive echo cancellers to remove echo quickly at the start of call, as well as really full-duplex solution without echo or voice clipping at the beginning or end of a double talk voice spurt.


(2) Dynamically track echo path changes and handle background noise even in car environment.

B. Microphone Array


nFore's two omni-directional microphones solution can is able to remove unwanted noise for communication applications. Noise can be no-stationary (e.g. another person's voice) or stationary (e.g. wind from a fan). It is assumed that the direction of the microphone is pointed on where the source of the desired signal is. Sound originating from any other direction is ideally removed with little to no distortion of the desired signal.


C. Active Noise Cancellation


nFore's Active Noise Cancellation technology can be used in noise-canceling headphone. The performance of the noise canceling is able to reach 90% reduction which means you'll hear more clear voice (music) in less plane/train/bus/others noise.


2. Audio Software Component

A. PowBass

(1) Bass-boost enhancement solution for headphones.

(2) Although headphones generally claim to be able to manage the frequency ranges as low as 20Hz, in practice it is not the case.

(3) Physical limitations exist in headphones that make it difficult for such low frequencies to be produced for the human ear to hear.

  PowBass utilizes unique human auditory characteristics to reproduce these low frequencies in a less conventional method, makes human ears to perceive these sounds.


B. VRSound (Virtual Reality Sound)

(1) VRSound is a solution for headphones.

(2) Reverberation is a familiar concept, enhancing the listening experience by mimicking the acoustics of your favorite environment.

(3) VRSound effectively emulates preset room acoustics and brings your music to life. Another feature of VRSound for headphone applications is its ability to "auralize" the sound which means for more comfortable listening.

C. VSS (Virtual Stereo Sound)

(1) VSS is a solution designed for compact-sized speakers.

(2) The step towards compact-sized multimedia devices in today's markets naturally reduces the space available for stereo speakers.

(3) The stereo effect is limited when the physical distance between speakers is smaller.

(4) VSS removes such limitations by modifying the sound waves traveling between the listener and the device to recreate the stereo effects.
